KVOA was looking for a new archive management solution to increase efficiency. They wanted to free resources of the old labor-intensive processes. The solution needed to make it easy for users to archive, find, and recall clips without needing to understand technical details, or requiring a lot of training. And the system also needed to fit our budget.

Providing more than 80% original programming, EWTN offers inspiring talk shows, entertaining children’s animation, exclusive teaching series, live coverage of Church events, and thought-provoking documentaries.

As of August 2015, Sinclair owns and operates, programs or provides sales services to 163 television stations in 79 markets, with station affiliations including ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, MyTV, NBC, Azteca, Telemundo, and Univision. More than 60 of these stations have news production operations, involving hundreds of local journalists. Built up over time both organically and through station acquisitions, Sinclair’s newsrooms employ varying combinations of newsroom computer system (NRCS) and video production platforms. Stations also had differing levels of capabilities for managing their news video assets.
WJLA is the ABC affiliate in Washington, D.C. and is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, one of the largest and most diversified television broadcasting companies in the country. Sister station NewsChannel 8, a regional 24-hour cable news network, is also housed in the same building. The two stations share news gathering resources and produce over 130 hours of live news each week.
