INDIGO MEDIA FRAMEWORK

INDIGO will provide the essential media framework for a highly efficient workflow between ingest, quality control, transcoding, material handling, content preparation and archiving processes. We are building a next generation platform to better manage content in any format and provide complete file-based MAM with advanced CSM for the most demanding environments. Bridging operations is vital to production and broadcast playout and this will be INDIGO’s advantage.

Most DAM systems require a plethora of 3rd party middleware products to provide HSM, transcoding, Partial File Extraction (PFE), Avid and/or Apple FCP interfacing and video server integration. With INDIGO there will be no additional costs or reliance on 3rd parties to perform these critical functions. INDIGO will be highly scalable with hot and tandem redundancy for maximum availability even during scheduled maintenance periods. It will be deployable across multiple servers and across multiple locations to consolidate all the areas of broadcast operation.

INDIGO EMBEDDED TRANSCODING ENGINE

INDIGO will be equipped with Masstech’s in house developed Transcode Engine and a full library of format blades. It will be designed on the Direct Show platform for flexible blade configuration and speed so that file transformation can occur automatically inline to virtually any file format. Users will be able to easily convert and publish new files in a wide range of formats and wrappers including MXF, QuickTime, MPEG-PS and TS.

INDIGO IN-COMMAND DESKTOP

INDIGO will be packed with ‘standard’ MAM functionality and the entire critical framework to handle more extensive metadata, eliminate interoperability issues and bridge the whole archive workflow.

INDIGO will incorporate advanced database indexing techniques for express searching with custom filters. It will be able to orchestrate sophisticated Task-Role management and intra-facility communications to ensure smooth progress through each stage of content preparation and approvals.

INDIGO Edit

INDIGO’s timeline will have the look and feel of an NLE for versatile program preparation work featuring timeline zoom, audio waveform, markers, notations and much more. It will support dual head VGA displays for uncluttered, full screen ‘monitor’ style precise viewing.
